We've got sound back

Decent enough sound for its size and purpose. I bought them for a '66 Mustang and they fit nicely in the door. Not all of the screws line up, so they hang with the top two. The plastic screens are useless, not sure why they were included, they don't stay.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Generally good, but...

Speakers = good, brackets = scrap

The speakers have quite a range for their size. Also good from below. The price is great. The worst thing about this product is the terrible mounting rings. Rinky Dink: Weak, weak, and poorly designed. The screws barely hold it to the speaker. I can't believe these things actually come with speakers.

Pros
  • super price
Cons
  • old

Sounds Great Loud Clear Can't beat the price

SOUND is great I used to use all Fosgate speakers but in my 30's I don't worry about the High Dollor system anymore. So I just wanted some cheap good sounding speakers and I remember rappers always talked about using Pioneer speakers and they were right. They don't use much power and sound loud, with good mids and lows.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • I keep calm

Speaker blows, terrible noise

Terrible rattling noise when playing bass at medium to high volume. The noise comes from the speaker itself, not the mount. The speakers sound good when listened to quietly, but that's not what I bought them for. It's like part of the speaker exploded or something, it's amazing how poor the quality is for a big name like Pioneer.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Long time

Great sound for coaxial speakers

Installed in 2001 GMC Sierra 1500. Easy installation. I had to get creative with the installation as the included mounting screws and hardware are a joke. Since this is an old truck I just screwed the speakers to the metal frame. But if you have a machine that you don't want to screw into, I would suggest finding better fasteners. The sound quality is MUCH better than the series, even without the subwoofer.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • No

I expected more :(

I ONLY upgraded the front speakers in my 1994 Chevy 2500 X-cab when I upgraded the stereo. Very little to rave about the bass response. The sound is very tinny .What really pushed me down to 3 stars is the fact that the OEM 2-way rear (which I didn't replace) doesn't work. Not much bass either BUT THEY REALLY have more than those whiny quads AND they are 25 years old!

Pros
  • Nice construction
Cons
  • Other Other

I like these speakers

Bought these speakers with GPS in mind. I installed a new radio in an old truck and wanted to hear clearly when using the GPS and phone. The sound is clear and undistorted. I had a problem attaching the bracket to the speaker. The screws are large enough to grip the threads. You need to hold the bracket in the exact position and set the tiny screws in place while tightening the screws. I was afraid to put my finger or a screwdriver in the speaker. It took a few grueling pushbacks to figure out…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Minus present
