This box is well made, has some weight and doesn't look cheap. HOWEVER, the dimensions given are incorrect (5.6 x 5 x 6.7). It's smaller than I was looking for, 5 x 3.5 x 3.5. If this size is right for you, I highly recommend it!

Bought this chest for my grandson. I filled it with coins and buried it in the yard for him to find. He was convinced that the chest had once belonged to a pirate. I was afraid it would look cheap but was surprised by the quality and authentic look. My grandson has other chests but this is his favorite. This will make a great desk decoration for an adult pirate who wants to be one. The size was exactly what I was looking for.

The decor is great and the quality is good, but the size is SMALL. I mean small It is essentially a jewelry box that can be kept on a table or dresser. This is not a treasure chest to be used effectively in a pirate treasure hunt for big kids. I had to turn to Craigslist to find something more appropriate. But leaving a few coins and rhinestones as gifts at a birthday party will work.
