The description is accurate and possibly spot on. I bought mainly because I thought the film would look like the "mirror" finish on the picture posted. After doing a small pane I was glad I did not start with the bigger ones. I could definetely see the "Silver" look but nowhere near a "mirror" finish. Based on the piece I did the film seemed thick and durable. It actually was easier to apply than the "mirror" film I replaced it with and the edges/corners were not peeling off.

I cleaned the glass with a razor blade and installed the tint. The tint went on well and looked great. Later that night there was a strong storm and caused the tint to have big lines across it. I tried to squeegee it out again but it would not go back.I might try to redo the tint later but I have noticed that the tint helps with the heat from the sun. That was my goal from the start so I kept the tint on for now.

We were about to spend some major $$ on new windows, but this film literally saved us thousands! We live in Arizona. The back of our house just gets hammered by the afternoon sun. This film has made all the difference. MUCH cooler! It's definitely a 2-person job. You have to keep the window and the film wet so keep a spray bottle handy. Don't put it up in the wind! Update 7/10/19Although, I had peeling issues with the installation of the second roll, I had a very professional response by their customer service department. They created new recommended procedures for installing exterior film. I think it's great that they acknowledged the problem, accepted responsibility, recommended methods to prevent the issue (peeling), and remedied my situation.I have since correct my situation situation and have seen a reduction of heat transfer into the house. Film is easier to apply with two people. Looks great when installed, not too reflective but it does decrease the light coming thru the window a little. Has really lowered our electric bill noticeably. Back of our house faces west and before the film, all blinds and curtains had to be closed in the afternoon. Not now.

Covered one window. Waited a couple hours and took thermal readings on 2 windows that are 18" apart. Was pretty disappointed the readings were the same. I expected heat to be reflected before it passed through the glass which meant the inside window covering (blind) would be cooler.

Recommending this to my neighbor. A/C is running significantly less frequently. I can't wait to see the reduction in my electric bill.

I bought this window film specifically for two skylights that let in extreme heat. I followed the directions exactly but there were still some sticking points (literally)! My advice is to overspray both the window and the window film. The best news is that these have already reduced the heat significantly! I would recommend this window film but do take your time!

Love this so much. Easy to put on. Reflects sun. Allows birds to come close to window with being scared. Gives great privacy during the day.

So easy to install and looks so nice. From inside you can see outside like there's no tint. But outside looking in is like a mirror. We love it cause we live in Sunny Florida.

It has reduced the heat from the window and makes the room far more comfortable than before. After applying, smoothing, trimming the film there may appear tiny bubbles under the film. They disappear in couple of days as the moisture was dried out of the application process. The medium tint was just right for a bedroom. It cut out the glare and still was good to see through during daylight.

This product will install properly following instructions. I popped window out and laid flat. That said if you can't you'll need 2 people. I would recommend this product.

Got this to help keep the Sun out of our west facing windows to keep the house cooler. I was concerned I would be giving up the look of the window and have this mirrored look. So not the case! Looks great and does what I wanted it to do!

I live in the garden level apartment in a nyc brownstone and I wanted more privacy during the day so that people walking by can’t look right in when I have the blinds open. This is doing the job! Bought this to put on a sliding glass door that really let in the sun. It was fairly easy to apply by myself, but I do have some experience. I would definitely recommend two people for the job, and NO WIND.The film goes on easy and sticks well if the window is clean, and boy does it cut down on the sun. These photos are late afternoon in winter (okay, Florida's version of winter), so the effect isn't quite as dramatic, but it gives you an idea of the transmission and reflection.

Easy to install. Less heat improvement than I expected on garage door windows - less than 10*F improvement on a 110*F window.

Works well and as advertised. Material is thick and unforgiving if creased. Recommend a second person to help. I installed on south facing glass doors. The film drastically cut the Phoenix Arizona heat coming through the doors. Color is grayish and really provides a natural color light. Use lots of soapy water as directed. I finally swapped over to this one because it had the reflective material that I really wanted to actually reflect away the energy instead of absorbing it, and it is used for the exterior. We had our handyman install this and it turned out great! We were able to remove the old vertical blinds on a garden window that had sun exposure for most of the day and the room was much cooler. The quality and color visibility was perfect for our needs. We still could enjoy the garden view and it was only a shade greyer to the outdoors. Great Solution!
