Planet Bike Floor Pump Auto Sports & Fitness Review

From the first time I used my Topeak Joe Blow Sprint I knew the junk TwinHead had to go. It didn't even inflate and dumped air out the side of the shredder's head, which is a very common problem. After a quick web search to see what other people are doing I found a link to this Planet Bike head. It has been working great since installation and I would definitely recommend it.

Unlike some other reviewers, this replacement air canister came with a new hose attached. I bought this to upgrade my Ryobi blower (which uses a stock Schrader air cartridge). I have included photos of the final product showing what was done to remove the original air hose. I then simply cut off the end of the new hose that was going to be connected to the Planet Bike air pump and simply attached it to the Ryobi blower hose fitting with a small hose clamp. Works perfectly!

If your floor pump is working but the pump head is leaking air, THIS IS A GREAT $15 solution instead of spending $35 on a quality new pump. my trusty old 160 psi Hurricane Team floor pump eventually wore out and started to leak. I have a digital gauge inflator that I connect to my compressor. The head of this inflator leaked heavily on several types of Presta valves and was also difficult to use with Shrader valves. This head worked great on the inflator. I was able to fit the hose insert and nut from this new head onto the inflator hose and it worked like clockwork. I've tried this on at least 3 different brands of Presta valves and a few different Shrader valves and this head stuck on them. no problem. No air intake.

I bought this because I was tired of using a small Schrader adapter to inflate Presta tires. It's supposed to fit a floor pump, but I cut off the end and hooked it up to my compressor. My old and tired Zefal Double Shot broke its horrible tube head and after looking for a replacement I came across this Planet Bike tube and head.
