These shoes are true to size. I always take my husband a size up because his feet are so wide. But I had to send the first pair back. He has plantar fasciitis and was specifically looking for something that would help him. So far, so good. They're a good fit, and if they give him relief, then they're winners. To update! I have a really hard time finding the right shoes. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to put them on and they felt really good. I usually have at least one problem and sometimes multiple problems with shoes ordered online. A few months ago I bought a pair of Geckoman slippers to help with a plantarfaciitis problem and they did the job. I wear them around the house, even bought another pair so I can change colors but couldn't wear them for safe driving so I bought this pair with laces and they work great. No more excruciating pain while driving. The only wish is that they come in more colors.

Excellent shoes, comfortable, light weight, roomy toe box, strong canvas. I wore them right out of the box, the internal arch support was high but after a few hours it flattened out.
