I kept finding needles in my bed (where I do most of my cross stitching) and couldn't figure out why until I checked the bottom of these 'sewing needle cases' " and found that they all have a hole in the bottom.

I bought these to hold loose needles of different sizes. All holders had holes at the bottom through which the needles fell out. I have used glue to plug these holes but would not recommend them for use with regular needles.

I was looking for something to organize my tapestry needles (I kept losing them) and this works great. I can separate them (e.g. #18 purple, #20 blue, #22 pink, etc.). I can also write on the cap with a marker what size needle is in the tube. It fits perfectly in the plastic organizer where I keep my embroidery floss.
