These are not 6 gallon bags. There is no 3.5 liter canister. I never thought I could give a bad review for bin bags, but size does matter here!

It's odd to say you don't like bin liners, but while they technically fit gallons, you'll have to force them if you have wider rims on your bin bag around. I think I will buy one size up next time

I don't know how well these bags hold heavy or dripping stuff. I don't use them for that. This is for my bathroom/office/night bin liners. And they work great for that. Comfortable laces and good product. And this amount is enough for me for about a year.

I have a 5 gallon trash can and thought I would buy 6 gallon bags that would fit but they don't. My jar isn't round or square, it's rectangular, so I currently use a 13-gallon kitchen bag. This isn't necessarily against the bags themselves, but rather against my assumption that a 6 gallon bag will cover a 5 gallon can when in fact it doesn't.

So I have trash cans that say 5 gallons at the bottom. I bought these thinking there would be extra overflow space in the bag. But no, not only do they not fit in the mouth of my trash cans, they don't even reach the bottom of a 5 gallon trash can. What makes me think maybe it's not really 6 gallons? I'm not sure, but now I have a few bags that don't fit in any trash can in my house. I can't return it as the box was torn when I opened it.

However, if it's even slightly larger than the stripe at the top of the bag, you'll have a hard time getting around the rim of your container. These bags practically do not crease at the top. Measure very carefully and make sure this bag is for you. If it's the right size, this is the best bag you've ever bought. If it's not the right size, you'll be disappointed.

I use these for a small 6 gallon square metal trash can. They are VERY tight, so sometimes they tear at the top when trying to stretch them to fit the awkward dimensions of my trash can. You should probably go up a size or two for it to fit properly. They still work great for me although it's not a big problem! The laces are very nice and comfortable to quickly tie a full bag. I would say if you are looking for decent bags at a reasonable price then go for it.
