Cheap and works: Dogs

I bought these initially because they were on sale and wanted to use a chain leash to tie my dogs to the back of my Ford Expedition between hunt stops. This leash works great with my rear cargo straps and keeps dogs secure in the trunk.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

durable leash. suitable for training and behavioral support

Strong chain for medium-sized dogs. Before purchasing I read a review that said it was great for a small dog but found it a bit heavy for my 20 lb poodle. Nice and smooth chain and it works for most needs. 4 stars only because it's a little heavier than expected. Still well done

Hard to find on nylon grips - why?

Lovely item that was ridiculously difficult to find. This was the third nylon handled leash I have ordered from Platinum Pets that actually had a nylon handle. The other two had flimsy unsewn vinyl handles that looked like they would snap with a hard tug. I gave up trying to find the right color and settled on purple. In any case, it is no longer about biting, chewing or playing with the leash, so the problem is solved.

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Damaged

Excellent quality. Easy to decorate if needed.

My 2 dogs were at my wedding party and we needed some 'wedding' for their leashes. Other white leashes I've come across were mostly leather and very expensive. These chain leashes were perfect for the job. Just added some decorative ribbons and they looked amazing and more expensive than they actually were. Also, the chains were strong enough to drag two of my pit bulls down the aisle, so I think they're pretty good quality.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • bland

METAL LEAD IN TEAL FOR BIG DOGS OR THEIR LITTLE PRINCES

WHEN MY PINK METAL MATCHING LEASE REVIEW, THIS IS THE BEST LEAD! **PLATINUM PETS IS MY FAVORITE COMPANY! ** I RECEIVED THIS GUIDE WITH A MATCHING COLLAR WHICH I WILL CHECK NEXT. THIS LEAD IS METAL SO OBVIOUSLY IT IS HEAVY AND BEST MADE WELL THEN LEAD MADE FROM CHEAP MATERIALS THAT HAVE BEEN PUSHED AND CHEWED OR EXPENSIVE STRETCH LEAD THAT IS LONG LASTING. BUY IT ALONE OR WITH A COLLAR FROM THE COMPANY AND YOU WILL NEVER BUY THIS FROM ANOTHER COMPANY!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Heavy but fits a medium sized dog

4mm slightly heavier than I expected but it doesn't bother my 35lb dog, it just takes a little getting used to. I wouldn't recommend it for small dogs though. Due to the thickness of the chain, it appears to be very strong and well assembled. Good length too; short enough to remain in control but long enough to allow him to do business at a comfortable distance. The grip feels comfortable; It's a soft material, feels good in the hand and I have very sensitive skin. All in all a good buy.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Negative present

Good production but inferior

My first reaction when I received the color was that I liked it. The chain is a good weight, the handle is strong and about 4 feet long. However, when I tried the clasp, it wouldn't budge. Upon closer inspection I saw that the purple enamel (which has a very nice appearance) was very clumsily applied to the clasp. He taped many of the spots that needed to be left blank for the clasp to work, along the pin and notch where it needed to slide out and out. I ended up getting it to work by first…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
