I brought these DVDs with me in early 2007. At the time, I didn't mind that they bought the "Brands" DVD. Probably the biggest mistake of my life! Many years later, they just don't read anymore. After years of being kept in a DVD case, they just won't play or play. I do NOT recommend them if you plan to watch something that you will most likely burn onto a DVD burner later. Here's the thing - when burning 15 copies of a DVD on my computer, 5 Playo discs failed. That's 25% bounce. I've never had so many failures with Memorex or Philips discs.

I started buying Playo 2005/6. I bought Playo until 2012. I've used them to back up DVDs of movies and TV shows that looked bad on scratched surfaces. Acer has always made great products. The Extensa 5420 is no exception. Great power and very durable. I'm not usually very enthusiastic about a product but unfortunately I've lost a lot of personal memories by entrusting them to a playo DVD-R. Out of 60 discs, only about 25% are readable between 6 different brands of drives (HP, Toshiba, Sony, LG, RCA and Dell). Most of the time on a Windows XP or 7 PC it asks if I want to create a recordable DVD and says it's blank. However, on some devices I can read parts of the data.
