Great for USB PD phone charging and phone to PC data transfer, but.

Update April 23, 2019: I contacted Plugable Customer Service and they responded quickly, politely, understandingly and in detail. Their tech believes that the 2m cable and the fact that it's Thunderbolt 3 means that two phones connected together may not be putting out enough power to maintain a stable connection, which is why I've been seeing dropouts. I also reproduced this between a Pixel 2 XL and a Samsung Galaxy S10+. However, connecting my phone to my PC's USB-C 3.1gen2 port worked…

The perfect cable. Says what he does, does what he says.

I bought this specifically for my eGpu setup. The cable that came with the Razer Core X was too short. It was a good price compromise. The cable does exactly what it promises. First, it's 40 Gbps. Second, it charges at 100 watts. This is where I was surprised because the cable that came with the Razer Core X should have been and my laptop complained that it wasn't charging to full capacity. After connecting this cable, this message disappeared. This purchase was worth it for that alone. After…

About a week later, when I turned on my Macbook, I heard a soft pop and received a message that my USB ports were disabled because the devices were using too much power. Even after unplugging the cable, rebooting several times, etc., the ports on my computer were disabled. After about an hour of troubleshooting and getting more and more anxious, I

Not for LG Ultrafine 5k

Worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then I came back from a meeting and the dual displays didn't wake up. Restarted. while the LG Ultrafine 5k remained dark. Worked out different ways to restore Ultrafine in 30 minutes. Disconnect everything, wait a minute (or five) and try again from a reboot. Then it occurred to me to go back to the original cable. And this change made Ultrafine work again on the next try. Just to see what happens I swapped the pluggable cable back with the LG cable after the…
