Good Lighting: Rough Plumbing

I installed one of these in a barn with a very low ceiling. Tried incandescent, fluorescent and single LED. They all cast bad shadows, making my storage shelves on the walls hard to see. The light is concentrated in the center of the shed. With this device I can see everything around the barn perfectly with the right angle of each element. The brightness is fantastic. Exactly what I needed. I'm planning to use another one in a remote shed after I've got my solar panel up.

Quality construction at a good price

I use these 2 bulbs in basement fixtures that use a pull chain to operate. I could buy brighter bulbs, but at 60 watts this model is more than enough to light up every corner of a 30x25 room with 10 foot ceilings and rows of shelves. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend them for basement use. A word of warning! Do not look directly into the lamp or you risk injuring your eyes due to the intensity of this light.

Just the right light! Try this out before installing the magazine light blocks.

I like to tinker with in the garage and sometimes I take on a larger project. In my last house I installed 5 groups of fluorescent lights. It was great but WAY more than I really needed. I just need to SEE what I'm doing, whether it's changing the oil on my lawnmower or repainting my furniture. I decided to try these LED lights before installing shop fixtures in my new garage.
