3 stars because the product does what it is designed to do but there are issues when using a Windows 8 computer. The mini-disk that comes with the USB-IR port does not contain a driver for Windows 8. I'm using a MAC but with Bootcamp so I'm using Windows XP for my Polar app. (Of course, I'd love to see Polar join us in releasing a range of Mac-compatible software.) I was using the previous IR port, but I was having trouble transferring data from my S625X monitor. I now use the Cyclemeter app on my iPhone, which gives me everything my Garmin GPS and Polar products did except heart rate information. I was going to scrap my S625X but decided to give it another try with an updated IrDA adapter.
