I hate not working out, love it!

This is the second time I've bought this particular product and I love it. I bought my first one in January 2012 and almost four years later I finally needed a replacement. I love Polar, it's a reliable and quality brand that accurately calculates calorie consumption with a heart rate monitor. Emphasis on accuracy as many new fitness bands try to give you results without legitimate tracking methods. In other words, if he's not using a heart monitor, it's just a guess. This particular brand…

Good product! (Just keep it clean!)

Love this HRM! It worked great when it first came out, but over time it had trouble detecting and maintaining my heart rate in a workout. I was angry. It always showed 00. I had to shut it down completely. I finally realized that maybe the problem wasn't with the watch and monitor, it was me. I googled and found that I NEVER cleaned the strap after using it. I've been using it in my workouts for about 6 months (I train 3-6 times a week - tough, sweaty workouts) and found I had never washed it…

good for the first year

I bought this about a year ago. I took the green one because it was the cheapest at the time. I wear it 5 or 6 days a week to the gym for powerlifting. It's nice to see how many calories I'm burning and I track my heart rate between sets so I know how long I need to rest before starting again. You need to wet it so it can read your heart rate. You can buy jelly to spread on top, but I've never tried it. The watch gets a bit sticky and uncomfortable when lifting, so I usually wear it on a…

Easy to set up. Easy to use.

Before buying I decided to try Pyle Bluetooth HRM with watch. Unfortunately for Pyle (and Wooth, who I ordered it from), the watch arrived non-working, and Fury didn't have interchangeable models. Luckily for Polar, a friend of mine who runs marathons recommended it to me, so I bought it instead. I've noticed that my phone doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity, but this isn't advertised as a feature either. It was not necessary. If that were the case I would try to buy another Pyle from Revane…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Very expensive

The description says purple pink, which is not true. It is like the photo, pink over pink. I LOVE this watch. I have previously bought a Sigma PC9 and a $50 bracelet from Amazon and thought it was great and had no idea why even anyone would be excited about their Polar watch. I loved this PC9 until the day it screwed me up. Suddenly the buttons started sticking and the strap only worked when I used heart glue for the signal. I decided it was time to cross paths and see what the polarizing rants

Great for my needs

Pros: Cute as a watch Tracks calories Heart rate monitor Summarizes workouts Has a backlight Connects to Polar fitness equipment at the gym Cons: Tracks only 10 workouts Has no pedometers Can't download workouts online Me had this watch for about 2.5 years. I like it very much as a watch or as a heart rate monitor. I usually train consistently for several months, then take a few months off and repeat this cycle. When I exercise, I like to keep track of my calories and heart rate. This isn't a…

I wasn't sure at first, but this helped me a lot!

I wasn't sure because I'd never used a "heart rate monitor" before and I imagined what the hospital would plug into. However, the good reviews of the Revain convinced me and it wasn't that expensive. Well I couldn't be happier. The strap is not bulky at all - I actually forgot it was there! I found it weird to wet the "electrodes" before use, but I just literally rinse them off for a second and then put them on. When I'm done exercising, I immediately remove the strap, rinse it thoroughly and…
