This countdown and countdown timer is well designed and its alarm is relatively loud. But when I received it, the display wouldn't turn on. I have read the instructions to no avail. In the end I decided the battery was dead and opened the battery compartment to find that there was a piece of clear plastic attached to the end of the battery to keep it from dying in storage.
