Bought this kit to polish my boat and it worked great. Just make sure you buff the pad and everything will shine and look like new. Had trouble keeping the velcro on the screw initially because my drill stops immediately after releasing the trigger, but this went away after I started using my corded drill (batteries didn't last long), which stops slowly, not abruptly

Cushion and high quality drill adapter. It was a challenge to use them to polish my car after sanding and repainting some of the scratches. The variable speed drill I use jumps and jumps as I apply most of the pad surface to the surface of the car. So I used more blade and lowered the speed of the drill. If you drive fast you can burn the paint. The good thing I found was being able to unplug the polishing adapter from the power drill and use it by hand with good results.

This product may work for some people but after a lot of trial and error it just didn't work. The problem is that drill presses usually run at a maximum speed of around 2000 rpm. The polishing machine reaches 4000 or even 5000 rpm. No matter how good the pads are, this is just a deceptive product as a power drill is not a buffing machine and cannot provide a true buffing surface. Also, pads of different colors without indicating which is which. These are definitely different "grains", I think…

I wanted to remove scuffs and scratches from the front bumper but I didn't want to buy another specialized power tool. Instead, I decided to try this kit for use with my DeWalt cordless drill. I first cleaned the area and then sanded the scratches and scuffs lightly wet with 2000 grit and then 3000 grit sandpaper until the scratches were gone or almost gone. I set the drill to maximum torque and speed and put it in reverse to keep the block from loosening. I cleaned and dried the area again and

The pads themselves are good, thick, good foam rubber. The drill is solid and you get two of them, but if you don't consistently apply even pressure to the buffer (which is difficult when crouched next to a car), the drill will loosen and the buffer head will fall out. I think the drill should be longer because no matter how hard we tightened the drill head, it kept loosening.
