Good speakers. Terrible shade of white/off-white

First off, I'm a fan of Polk Audio. I've been happy with everything I've bought from them so far. There is nothing wrong with the sound quality, clean highs, good mids, almost no lows, but they are spacious and not intended for use as a network or without a subwoofer. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm returning it is the colour. It's not white! Not even close. I would call it cream which has sat in a smoking room for 10 years to get that colour. Amazing speakers. Had to switch surround instead of top rear

I had a 7.2 setup and wanted to upgrade to 9.2.2 speakers with my Denon AVR X3600H receiver. I originally installed the shelves as rear high speakers (I already have 4 Sonance ceiling speakers). I wasn't overly impressed so I decided to use the Polk as the rear speakers and used the Sonance for the rear high and mid high instead. I was amazed at the sound quality. They are taller than I thought and wider! I'm glad I didn't buy the OWM5

I currently use them as surround left and right in a 7.1 configuration. Advantages: 1. Omnidirectional mounting. The speakers definitely have this feature and I mounted mine at a 45 degree angle to the ceiling and wall. It doesn't require any special mounting hardware, just a few screws and a few drywall anchors. Be both in height and width. I was expecting them to be closer to the 4.5" width listed in the cone size, but if I had to guess it's closer to 7" wide. They're also much larger than I…
