Dust or dirt is coming off this perch. The bark is red and the dust is red, so it's clear it's coming from the bark. I rubbed it; the towel was dirty; I've even tried loops. Without completely removing all of the rind I can't peel them, so I can't use them.

This was a pleasant surprise for me. My Umbrella Cockatoo made quick work of any booth we ever bought for him, usually destroying it completely within a week. Anyhow, it's been up and running for 3 months now and there's no sign it won't be for years to come. Amazing quality product.

The perch isn't straight and that's not a bad thing. This made the cage bars a bit tricky to install and bend, but at worst I ended up cutting them in half and getting two perches. My amazon parrot seems to love it and I try to use all his space so at the end of the day we have a unique perch or two and he's happy so am I happy.

The perch is very straight in the picture but the product I received wasn't like that at all. Very crooked. Also, the product label was badly torn leading me to believe it was used by someone else or returned. Also note that it is very thick which may not suit your bird. However, it is durable and if you are not put off by the fact that it is not a straight piece of wood then this would be a good buy.

It was listed as a 24 inch perch which would be perfect for the cage I was planning to use it in. Unfortunately, the perch we actually shipped was over 25 inches long. While I could cut it, re-drill the hole, and replace the hardware, I don't feel I should for the price quoted. Before ordering, I measured my parrot cage and I needed 24 inches. I also read the reviews and some said it fits perfectly and others said it was longer than 24 inches. I should have listened. I had to replace a large perch to span the width of a 24" Avian Adventures cage and am very happy with the 24" all-wood hardwood Polly bird perch. I am a picky parrot and very picky about her feathered children. It should be bird-friendly and comfortable on the feet, with natural curves, yet easy to clean.
