Type of review

The product does not match the description in the picture. Will not work properly in a standard 3/4" workbench hole. The pair I received in the mail had 1/2" shanks measured with my caliper and only the clamp head appears to be forged. The "mine" is a smooth steel rod. I gave this item 4 stars because Malelo refunded my money including shipping when I sent it back. Additionally, it's a very durable product that will likely work well in a large enough workbench hole.

Well done when it suits your work and your workbench.

Got this the other day. Played a bit with him on two different benches. Seemed to work pretty well. This is very heavy equipment. The first thing I noticed was that the shank was hexagonal and not round. It did leave marks in the dog holes on my workbench, but it didn't appear to be any damage other than cosmetic damage. Wrong clamp for me

I recently purchased this clamp along with its 4 1/2" counterpart (4 1/2" SLIDING GRILLE CLAMP - JORGENSEN #1708) for use in my new workbench. This clamp is totally unsuitable for me and I have no intention of using it. Giving one star would be unfair as the clamp works as advertised. It has a beautiful powder coat finish and is easy to install and remove with just one firm tap of a rubber mallet in the desired direction.
