🎵 Akai CE2000 Portable Boombox with LCD Display, Line-In, and Bass Boost - Perfect for CD/AM/FM Playback and AUX Input! Review

I bought two of these portable boomboxes for the preschool so teachers can play CDs, plug in their phones and play our class playlists. However, many of the buttons are unlabeled, so it's a guessing game about what we press and what happens when we insert the CD. When the CD plays, I'm not sure which button started playback. If we ever figure out how to start playing CDs, I'll name them. Until then, it's frustrating.

Bought CE 2000 but had problems with power cord. The problem turned out to be where the fork was located. There's a little 'ding' that it releases when lifted and you can plug in the power cord. At the suggestion of a support employee, I sent a photo of the device. The technician helped me figure it out. One of the best customer services I know. Good reliable radio and CD player. Pros: Very good reception. decent sound. Very good for talk radio and light background music. Has an extra input so I can play pandora and other stuff from my phone. Compact form factor, easy to carry. Cons: No tone controls. But the bass boost is turned off. So I turn bass boost off for talk radio and on for music. I'm pretty happy with this amount of control. Unbreakable boombox quality.
