I'm pretty sure I use it in my office and not at home (e.g. children's room or bathroom). It's very quiet and gives off a lot of heat, but the smell isn't pleasant at all. I've only had it for 2 days so I'll wait and see how it goes after a while.

I have a half bathroom with exposed pipes that tend to freeze. So every cold season I have to put it up with a small heater and close the door. What I'm missing is a longer power cord. It is not safe to use extension cords with a heater so this is not an option. The length of the cable limits its placement :/

Overall a good device and great value for money. My single shot is trivial, but there are too many blow-off options. The first setting blows cold air - useless - and then there are low heat, high heat and "eco" settings. Tiny heater. Generates a lot of heat. It seems to me that these PTC ceramic heaters generate more heat than regular glowing metal strips even though they can draw the same amount of current.
