Connected to my NooElec RTL-SDR and Ham-it-Up add-on. in my backyard. I'm new to this hobby and have no idea what I'm doing. It was fun learning with this antenna and picking up a few more stations.

I had high hopes for this antenna as I need a home antenna and can't use an external antenna. When testing found that it didn't even get WWV on 5, 10, 15, or 20MHz, I wrote to the company asking for help. That was over a month ago and I'm still waiting for help. or even a reply that they received my message. Don't waste your money if you need an indoor antenna. I understand that there are problems on the outside as well, but I couldn't try it that way.

Excellent starting antenna for RTL-SDR reception. I tied a loop to the exposed end of the wire, tied one of the included chains to that loop and to a branch. I made a loop a few inches from the bare end of the wire and tied another thread to that loop. I attached the rope to a hook on the wall of the house. Connected the open end of the cable to the balun and routed the coax through the window to my RTL-SDR tuner and my awesome viola antenna!

Can be used as a portable or emergency antenna, works well. I wouldn't use it as a temperamental antenna in your area as it doesn't survive year round. Used quickly, the supplied cord proved to be solid. I rolled under the wire with a 102-inch whip and it withstood a quick hook. I've tested this with the Boulder Co. 15000 and 10000kHz time standards and when the frequency is plugged in it's fine.
