Ideal for roasting steaks.

Great replacement for reverse steak search. Much cheaper than buying a cook head with a propane tank which costs over $300. In addition, it has many alternative uses. Having a hose instead of holding the whole container together with your head is a lot less taxing on your arm and forearm, especially when searing multiple steaks.

Bought for sous vide finish

Good torch adjustment. I couldn't use my old burner as I had to hold the food upright while frying as you can't tilt the burner more than a few degrees. This burner comes with the correct flame diffuser so I can leave my food horizontal on the grill while I brown it. The control valve looks a little wobbly, hence 1 star deduction for durability. Otherwise perfect for my needs. highlighted.

I received the burner and after carefully reading the instructions I connected it to propane gas. Cylinder turned on, but no gas comes out of the burner. When I turned the control knob, it broke. All in all I would recommend that you save the money you will be spending on this and buy enough Bic lighters for the same price that they really shine.

The first time I used it, the adjustment knob fell into my hand. No sign of any method of gluing the handle to the burner. If you've read the reviews, this is a common problem with the flashlight. Too bad I didn't do my homework. A few days after this review was posted, I was contacted by customer service.
