A battery compartment in each flashlight had strange extra plastic around the springs that made it impossible to insert batteries. One photo is center, the other left. I even tried several brands of AAA batteries. They also looked very cheap, which I think they were. I got my money back.

I wasn't sure I would really like these lights but I decided to try them and I love them. They look beautiful when lit and stay on for quite a long time. They also give off a good amount of light. I ordered three more sets today and can't wait to get them! Just a note, when you first open the bottom to insert the batteries there is a tiny little screw that needs to be removed from one side. My husband and I didn't see this and almost broke the floor.

No more dark corners with this great design. I bought them for places where we don't have an outlet. Wow they are amazing. I have one on my bedroom closet and one in a dark hallway. They are perfect when you have to get up at night and don't want to trip over black cats and other obstacles. I have other night lights but most of them require outlets or long cords to plug in. They are battery operated so you can take them with you wherever you go. Good product.

I bought these years ago and love them. Again taking a risk (there have been reviews citing a manufacturing defect that made it difficult to fit a central battery). I bought this set on Revane Prime Day. In addition to unscrewing the screws to remove the battery cover with a screwdriver, both lights had a defect in the central battery where a piece of plastic is preventing the battery from fully seating.
