Sophie Conran Collection: Small White Oval Casserole - Made in England, Dishwasher, Microwave, Oven, and Freezer Safe Review

I was surprised by the quality of this casserole dish. Porcelain has a beautiful white color and is much thinner and more elegant than pottery or other ceramics. This was perfect for my Thanksgiving parties that needed to warm up. I bought two of these.

The only downside is that liquid gets to the inside rim when you try to clean it. I would have thought they could just fill that area with more ceramic material just to pour it out. Not a big deal, more of a comment hoping they improve the product later.

So far so good, it's nice and quite large, looks well made and is lighter than expected. This makes hand washing easier, but I think this needs to be handled with care. The really big test was putting it in the oven at 450F and it held up with no issues. Incidentally, this hole in the lid is a vent and not a defect, as some might think.

I noticed right away that the lid wasn't latched at all! He shifted around the top and fell slightly. And I brought it to the table, and the lid fell and broke. But not for long! I had to trust my instincts and go back knowing it was an accident! But a good size for both of us and I loved the look! Production has just stopped!

I bought this Sophie Conran casserole because the description clearly says it was made in England. But when it arrived it was clearly marked Made in China on the bottom. I don't buy anything to reheat/cook food from China. When heating and cooking food in a container that may not be food safe, contamination can get into the food. Plates that are not food safe unless the food is cooked e.g. B. salad plates, contaminants have a low chance of being washed out. I don't trust China.

Arrived in perfect condition thanks to the manufacturer's sturdy packaging. Good size for small portions, suitable for two or one very hungry person. The shape is quite attractive, so I like to keep it prominently displayed on the kitchen table. Having used a few items from this line I can say that they handle bakeware very well, at least up to 350 degrees, and are easy to clean. I don't put them in the dishwasher. I bought this from Avalanche Brands on black friday. I wanted to use this with my white dinnerware set. Haven't used it yet, so the review is mostly based on looks. Pros for me: 1. looks simple and beautiful2. the packaging was good. Cons for me: The color is off-white/off-white and doesn't quite match my dinnerware set. So I will say that either the description on Amazon is wrong as it doesn't show the correct color or this seller's item does not match the picture. Overall it has a nice design

Love the style of the Sophie Conran line. You have very good value for money at Revain. I bought two pans - this "white low lid" and the "white oval lid". I think the names are not very meaningful. This one is big, but the oval one is small. Keep in mind that the holes on both are a bit too small. Doesn't change the rules of the game, but it does make getting food out the sides a bit awkward. I wish this had handles on the side like the oval one. I wear it very tight and careful when full. But…
