🔌 Extended Power Cable for Beltronics / Escort / V1 Radar Detectors Review

I've only had this cable installed for 2 days but so far so good. It seems to be made of quality material, the cord is quite long. The only downside is that there is no mute button like on the original cable but for half the price that suits me. If I have any issues with this I will come back and update my review.

Only used a few times since purchase more than a year ago. My V-1 radar worked fine with it. But now the light comes on and then goes off again. The detector beeps will continue to function but will not illuminate. I switched to a different power cord in the same machine and it works fine. I have changed the cables several times with the same result. This product now leaves my detector with no lamps that will still work with the old cord.

Valentine One makes great radar detectors. I've been using them exclusively for over 20 years. Today's problem is that the 'direct plug kit' provided by Valentine One is very difficult to fit into new cars unless you do it at a specialty shop and then it will cost you $150 if you do the case is. Simply put, you need to find a 12V power source near your Valentine One that will only supply power when the ignition is on and will turn off when the ignition is off.
