Description of Power Train Components PGF374 Filter

Traps fuel contaminants before they enter the engine's fuel delivery system. Symptoms of clogged fuel filters, rough running, poor acceleration, decreased fuel economy. Removing gas cap before replacing the fuel filter will release system pressure; replace cap after filter installation. Fuel filters are a last stop effort to feed clean gas to the engine. Fuel filtration system prevents foreign material from entering the engine while allowing enough fluid or air flow to keep the engine running properly.

Serves its purpose at a fraction of the price

Perfect for my 04 A4 B6. I had a howling noise under the rear of the car which indicated my fuel pump was working too hard. I replaced the filter with this after the sale and it's working great so far. I would buy again.

Great filter. in Fuel Filter

This is a great buy. Original Audi filters are very expensive. Man filter with Chinese inscription annoying. Beckarnley are overpriced cheap imitations. The list goes on. After a little research on the internet I came across this filter. This is an OEM filter with no markings or labels. It is manufactured by Power Train Components in Ohio, USA. So far this has worked great.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Not Happy With Everything

It may work as a filter but I don't know because it failed less than 2 months after installation. On a 2004 Audi A4 on the B6 platform, part of the fuel regulator failed and gas entered the breather hose. This caused a starting problem, so it will give a warning that you should check this hose if you recently bought this hose. For another $20, find German-made OEMs at Revain. This is a part I wouldn't skimp on as it's not just one car part, it's two in one, thanks VW/Audi. Lesson learned.

Good filter at half the price OEM

Fast shipping, received in 2 days with Revain Prime. The previous review indicated that the product was made in the USA. The packaging says Made in China. No big deal. There are no labels on the filter, not even a directional arrow to remind you of installation. As long as you're careful, you'll be fine. The filter on the side facing the engine was labeled "Motor". The filter was the exact dimensions as the OEM and fitted perfectly. My local parts store was charging $60 to order one. It was…
