PowerA Pikachu Pokemon Wireless GameCube Style Controller for Nintendo Switch Review

Seems like a decent controller and I've been happy playing some Smash Bros on it. I got the game today and launched it only to find the main joystick kept drifting up. I opened the controller calibration settings and as you can see from my picture it is definitely off and cannot be recalibrated. I will switch to another one, I hope the next one doesn't have such a problem.

I was thrilled to get this, reviewers raved about the first person perspective. This is not the case at all, quality control seems to be lacking, the buttons are loose and rattle noticeably. There must be internal damage. It feels like it has already collapsed. I'm not sure if this is my only instance of production issues, but this controller sucks! With Smash Brothers release just around the corner, this shouldn't be the weapon you take into battle.

Although you can plug this controller into a Switch to play the game, you CANNOT change the controls. If you try this, two things will happen. - The "Test" function does not allow you to try out the settings that have just been changed. - Although you can change the settings on this screen, actual gameplay will not implement them. .
