Excellent tool. Not cheaply made. Use it for most braking work. The only problem I have is that the handle isn't long enough, sometimes I have to use an extension.

I bought this tool to see if it was worth the money and to make my disc brake replacement job easier. It costs money. The quality is excellent, the action is smooth and easy to use. No more squeezing the caliper piston with a big pair of channel locks.

The good news is that if you need to compress a disc brake piston into a car caliper this tool will do it for you with ease. This is not the way to go for trucks or heavier commercial vehicles. Mine broke on first use. The threaded bolt for snapping the drive plate into the piston is not long enough. You need to finish the C clamps. The tool also damaged the lower threads of the drive bolt as the bolt was ratcheted. The optional heavy duty plates were attached with magnets that weren't strong…
