Halved when first used.

Product broke on first use. I ripped the car open in the wheel arch to replace the O2 sensor, put this tool in my 3/8" drive, put the tool on the O2 sensor and when I applied torque to remove the O2 sensor, the puller broke. This is low grade steel, not for serious work. May be suitable for a newer car if the oxygen sensor has not been installed on the car for a long time. It was a pleasure to have Autozone within walking distance of my house!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Negative gift

Loose fit on sensor

This tool is designed to remove O2 sensors which are notoriously difficult to separate due to corrosion. It is very important that the wrench is firmly seated on the hex of the sensor. This product does not offer this. It's supposed to be 22mm but is actually 23.86mm, which is so loose that it's likely to slip off and round the corners of the sensor. Also, the hex section is too small to fully engage the sensor housing, further increasing the risk of damage. I used a much better competitor…

Don't buy this. Waste of money

I bought this to replace the oxygen sensor in my 2005 Aveo as it is in a spot where there is not enough room to use a regular O2 socket but the processing of this tool is so bad that I won't believe it. The bushing is obviously cast, not machined, so the hex surfaces are rounded rather than square as they should be, preventing the tool from grabbing and "rolling" off the hexes on the gauge. Complete rubbish and there is absolutely no way to fix this to make it work and replacing will most…

Great tool for the job.

This is a very useful tool for removing and installing the O2 sensor when working in tight spaces. I bought it to remove/install the bottom O2 sensor on a Mazda RX-8 04. Honestly, I could probably just use a 22mm wrench. I didn't use the original cat's sensor, so I didn't use it to remove it. I installed the new one on the new cat before installing it on the car so I had enough room for a box/end wrench. However, I still recommend buying it if you don't have a 22mm wrench as this tool is…

  • Everything OK!

  • Some Trouble

Passes only for installation. Not suitable for disassembly

At first glance it seems like the right tool for the job. In use you will quickly notice that the size deviates from 22mm and is actually closer to 23.5. I tried to remove my sensor and it slipped and slipped off the hex ends. I noticed that it had streaks and decided that this tool should not be used for removal. I ended up taking the advice of another reviewer. Cut the wire going to the sensor and use a socket wrench. He got out right away. Fortunately, this tool can still be used to install…

Doesn't work.: Oxygen

I bought this to get an O2 sensor off an old Rav4. The offset makes it very difficult to apply much torque and it is also a bit loose and I almost blew off the head of the O2 screw. Took it to the shop and the mechanic had a deep snap-on head slotted into the side of the hub that did the job when a ton of torque was applied. The socket used by the mechanic is very similar to Tekton's: http://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-4929-8-Inch-Oxygen-Sensor/dp/B000NPUKIE/ref=sr_1_2?srs=2530461011&ie=UTF8&qid=14617…

Worked to firmly attach the O2 sensor, could not be removed.

A few tips to help you save. If you can't remove the O2 sensor due to overheating/rusting/corrosion/general crap. Then I recommend dropping the pipes down from the manifold and placing the O2 sensor upside down in a strong vise and turning the whole assembly upside down. It might be a little cumbersome, but it works great. If you're only using 1 sensor, it might be worth fighting it while the pipes are connected. If you are making more than one o2, lower the pipes and use the vise technique…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

THIS WILL BE USEFUL FOR INSTALLATION BUT MAY NOT BE USEFUL FOR REMOVAL

This could become a real project. You will definitely need these two tools: =oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and if the project is like mine you also need this youtube has a lot of videos showing how to fit new o2 sensors. Each step can be a test. Just disconnecting the old one from the wiring harness isn't easy. Removing an old sensor can be a real challenge. It is useless to remove the offset bushing (item 1 above) but is needed to tighten the new one. Go ahead and snap off the top of

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
