Not for a new mechanic

They are quite difficult to assemble. It's easiest if you have two people holding everything in place and then rotating everything at the same time. I had to modify the clutch and brake housing to align them properly. If you have the opportunity to make a mount with your own hands, do it. The tighter you tighten them to keep the handguards from turning up/down with the wind, the less they actually hold.

Does not fit standard 7/8 " handlebars

Does not fit standard Yamaha Raptor 90, 7/8" handlebars. Poor communication from seller, answered initial questions then stopped. Now there hasn't been any news from them for 5 days. Not worth the time and money for these handguards. Other options are available for less money, bad choice with bad customer service. Found a cheaper price for the same thing that actually fits on ebay for about half the price.

Worked quite well with hand shields. But the price for both?

Solid. No instructions. Many additional devices without explanation. I had to reference the add-on here on Revain to see the image and understand how they were supposed to fit. Mainly because of the very long screws and two pieces of vacuum hose? and not sure. Likely used with compatible parts and accessories but no way to confirm. The price is too high and should have been included with the handguards I bought them for.

Works pretty well. with minor modifications

Installed on a 2017 Polaris 800 Pro S with stock handlebars. Everything went as expected, but the problem was that the throttle cable had to be routed through the bracket. This resulted in it being pinched by the throttle when it was fully open and the throttle stuck! It's not good if you drive over 100 miles per hour! So we made a small adjustment. We took the grinder from the bottom of the bracket just in front of the lock nut. This created the perfect space for the throttle cable to runโ€ฆ

I have a Yamaha SR Viper X-TX. The handlebars are pretty tight and you have to loosen the fasteners holding the throttle and brake assembly in place to install these brackets on the handlebars. The X-TX and M-TX SR Viper have handrails integrated into the handlebars. Just one thing; I installed both mounts flush to the handlebars and the brake and throttle modules on each side. Yamaha placed the handwarmer wiring on the front of the handlebars. If it were on the back you could put steel loopsโ€ฆ
