Best of Power & Electrical

I watched a few YouTube videos and the installation was easy. I have noticed that my battery charges faster than before. The fan whines a bit, but overall a good buy. I had to trim it to fit.

  • Good performance

No dead batteries now

This is a silent and powerful converter. I went from 35 amps to 70 amps. The only problem with the installation was the 4 tabs on the mounting plate. They didn't make the unit fit (front to back). There was enough space from left to right. So I changed the tabs by bending them. Then it went great. I am very happy with this update.

Suitable for charging built in batteries in a DIY UPS scenario

I am writing this review for a 100A model which is not for sale here but I am assuming it is the same performance as this device delivers. An excellent choice for building an integrated UPS, meaning the batteries are constantly being charged and connected to the inverter. This setting prevents switching from AC power to battery backup. In some applications, the switching time may not be acceptable. See my review at http://www.amazon.com/review/R217ZLPD6WKSXN/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B004LX…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Upgradable

Doesn't work with camper parts and accessories

I went to their website to make sure I got the right replacement for the one that broke down on my camper and the info said I had get unit . I had a mechanic and the car wouldn't start for 3 days. It was probably hotter here in Texas back then and my husband was nowhere to be found. I had nothing, no light, hell, nothing. .3 hours later, sitting in the car because of the air conditioning, I couldn't leave and couldn't leave the dog here in the car. So finally the charger. The device never…

Faulty unit came with date code 2001

Unit came via FedX, PSU came in 2 boxes with seal, packaging was fine. power indicator. I measured zero voltage at the terminals and checked all 3 40 amp fuses that are not blown. I noticed a black dot on the red connector on the power supply. (See photo) An indication of a possible short circuit and the use of terminal screws. Most notable was the date code on the 2001 box. (See photo) Getting an item over 19 for this price is not acceptable. (Serial numbers match) My guess is that the unit…
