Really 4.5 inches long. true mistake? Maybe 4 metric inches? Poor materials and unfinished product.

Did you mean 4 metric inches? Because they are not 4 inch sponges. These are 4.5 inch jaws. The firmware is terrible and the jaws were deformed. See photos. They'll probably work for what I need, but I'm disappointed with the overall lack of quality.

No 2 separate jaw sets, misleading name

Based on the way this item is sold I assumed I ordered 2 separate vise jaw sets. What I received was a set of vise jaws. I'm assuming two packs mean they count each piece individually, as if you were only going to buy half a set of soft jaws. Not impressed by this deceptive marketing tactic.

They work quite well

Good. I'm happy with them. You must be careful to select the correct size jaws for your vise, although they are not designed for use in small vises. reason for only four stars; You could slip in two more small magnets to hold it in your vise for more security and that would also allow you to trim it down to fit a smaller vise.
