🔨 Upgraded Rip Fence for POWERTEC BS900 Wood Band Saw and Similar Band Saws (Work Table Size: 11-1/8” to 11-13/16”) Review

After reading other reviews I decided to give this product a try. It is cheaply made and you should be careful not to use the product. I got mine on Ryobi. There wasn't much to play. Just some general thoughts, no power. For the money it will work for the small projects I have. It seems like the next step is a lot more money. For some it would be worth it, but for those who use it every now and then I think it's ok.

This is exactly what I expected. This is very similar to the fences you see on inexpensive table saws. It's best to make sure it's square before you fix it. I have a model of the popular Harbor Freight 9" band saw. Fits perfectly, only needs to be adjusted by loosening it by turning the lever counter-clockwise a few times. better than trying to do something when the edges of the aluminum Die-cast tables are slightly slanted.

This one lost a star for not following instructions on the fence. While the listing says it's adjustable, you simply receive the fence with no instructions. You have to slide it onto the table and then when the cam is loose (sticking out of the stop) turn the lever to tighten or loosen the clamp. If you think you've got it right, try installing the clip by pushing the lever down. Do not use force, otherwise the camera will break. If you feel strong resistance, loosen the clamp and try again…

The product came as in the description except that it was made for 3 different band saws. In order to fit all of these band saws an adjustment must be made and nowhere in the advertisement or in the box that the fence comes in does it say how to make the adjustment. I tried to contact Revane about this. Vain. I called the manufacturer, they explained a simple but hidden setting and everything is fine. Meanwhile, Revane sent me a replacement with the same situation. I returned this item after…

These should be standard on any bandsaw. Half of using a bandsaw is making rip cuts and sawing through boards and that's what you need. You need it for these tasks. Does it fit your saw? Very likely. I would like to measure my saw's table, but I can tell that my model is very common and is sold under about a dozen different brands. If your saw is the one in the picture If it's similar to the one shown, this fence will fit it. If it doesn't look like this model, the fence will probably still fit

Let me start by saying that I don't have the Powertec 9 inch saw that this BS900RF guide bar is actually made for, but instead I bought this one to myself to adapt to my old Delta 28-150 9" saw as Delta stopped making the 28-181 fence for their table saws a few years ago and the Kreg KMS7200 band saw fence does not fit my model.
