Easy installation with a little out-of-the-box thinking. Not mentioned in manufacturer's instructions, Yamaha 9.9 brake system removed for better linkage alignment. Offset stem center for extra travel for left turns, not equal to STB. Step on the gas and troll all day.

A good set worked for about 4 fishing trips, then it just died. Concluded that the sealed motor wasn't that watertight, it looks like the gasket got pinched during assembly which was disappointing as it was the best performing steering system I've ever had. I've tried talking to customer service several times, they only called me back once and referred me to their warranty page, which is a joke because nobody ever answers you there either!

This is a great remote control system that can be used in both salt and fresh water. After a year and a half of intensive use there was a problem with the electric motor, called the service while the service manager at work gave me his cell phone number so he could help me with the problem. Well it looks like it needs a new motor, no problem no problem, send in the old motor and get a replacement.
