Took less than three months

Like: Lightweight, compact Dislike: The metal spring on the end that holds the balls is tired. It's made out of paper clip wire. After three months of use (not daily use) it's crawling out of its hole and won't stay there long after I put it back in place. This opens the end so it doesn't hold balls. Perhaps a thicker wire will help the product last longer.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Very expensive

Bad trigger design

Only used this product twice. The trigger broke on the second use. The plastic piece holding the spring in place has broken off and the product no longer functions as a ball ejector. In my opinion, the piece of plastic that holds the trigger is too thin and weak to withstand the force of the spring tension. I would not recommend this product.

Unassembled

We'll give the company the credit for it because it's probably just a bad apple out of the lot. The black piece at the bottom of the tube that you push down to release the golf balls was already out of the tube when I took it out. I assumed it must have been screwed down after seeing it, but no, it just broke. You can tell it had to be glued onto the pipe and wasn't made well enough to hold it.

Broke after 4 months

This training stick has been used for just over 4 months and used once or twice a week, not in harsh conditions. It seemed to be working fine. A piece connected to the latch recently broke off and the product has stopped working. I tried to see the warranty terms but couldn't find it. I have attached two photos showing each side of the tongue. In comparison you can see the missing part. Is there a replacement policy?

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Easy to use and well made

I bought this over 6 months ago and use it regularly. It's so easy to use and makes training so much easier as you don't have to bend down to pick up all the golf balls. To remove the balls from the holder I find it easiest to use my hand to loosen the balls. I accidentally dropped it on concrete several times and it was not damaged. It's also fallen off my parked golf cart a few times and hasn't been damaged apart from a few scratches. I've used it on wet grass and sandy grass and it still…

This thing works great on the putting green!

Mine works great, the grip mechanism keeps the ball in the tube when walking and doesn't fall out. This makes training on the driving range fun because I don't have to bend down to pick up the balls. It really is a back saver! The exercise stick fits into one of the slots in my stand bag so I can easily take it with me without having to carry it separately. I like that the tube is transparent so you can actually see the balls inside, which is not possible with regular burlap. It's very easy to…

Perfect for the money

Holds 23 golf balls. I bought mine three months ago and since then I've been using it 5-6 times a day with no problems. Of course, every time I try to be careful not to force the spring side of the tube into the ground because I easily see the possibility, as other posters have mentioned, of that part failing. (My first order actually had a broken part due to unreliable packaging, but a replacement arrived quickly.) I try to make sure the tube is nearly 100% perpendicular over the balls, as…

A must when golfing - save your back, look smarter!

Perfectly sized golf ball ejector that makes golfing easier. I used to carry a bag of balls with me, and when I practiced, it was very painful for me to bend down and pick up the balls. So far the Ball Retrieval Practice Stick has proven to be as durable and functional as expected. The number of balls it can hold (about 23) is sufficient. I've considered buying a larger bag retriever or this one, but I'm glad I went with this one. Its slim profile allows it to be carried in a golf bag and…
