Great for protecting walls near the cage from urine. Place it in the corners where my chinchillas' favorite piss spots are. Really great for removing stains from the wall.

Disappointed. didn't work at all for my cage, my animals could easily pick them up and they would fall off even if I pinched them with tongs. I made sure the corners were right and the urine ended up everywhere anyway.

The guard has reduced the mess, but urine can still pass (or around, under, etc.). I'm sure every cell is different and only guard is ok. 1/4 inch is too high and the rabbit's butt can still push against the railing and pass between the railing and the bottom of the cage.

Good product, but there are two flaws.1. We had to break the edge down to a 90° angle to make it really effective for a rabbit hutch1. The groove/notch for attachment to the cage doesn't hold it in place very effectively. However, when stuck between another guard and a rabbit house in an aviary, it works well.

I wish there were more products like this on the market. Good. It could have been better. I have 2 chinchillas that urinate in the corners of their cages. Sometimes, if they brace their butts too close to the cage wall, urine will spill out and drip onto the floor, causing stains. It helps some, but not much. We really need more of these products for chinchillas!
