Preferably. Scissors. JE.

Fantastically sharp, they're great for everything from snipping dog fur between the balls of the toes to slicing through fabric. I've had a pair for a few years and have just ordered more for home. The originals are still very sharp 🙌🏼

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Good product at a good price.

Bought for a seat restoration project. The price was good and I liked the history of the foundry. arrived in good condition. worked great. Solid scissors. good strong rattan stick. The rubber grips on the handle initially had a strong smell, but nothing bad and faded quickly.

Easy to use, sharp and durable

We bought this for our bonsai and it's perfect. It's easy to use, sharp and very durable. I have small hands and I feel comfortable in my hands. I recommend it to anyone looking for a trimmer for their bonsai. But don't expect too much from the aesthetics, because these are just regular scissors and not fancy designs.

Good and sharp in cutting tools

Sharp, just as advertised. Don't expect fancy scissors, they're well constructed but lack finishing touches unless you want to count the rubber tubing covering the metal handles. I took the thing off and it made no difference in comfort. I think knowing they're made by a company that's been in business since 1663 AD boosts the coolness factor by at least 56%. ;-)

Good tool, stinks

These are fantastic scissors but the rubber coating on the handle smells really awful. I put it in the garage for a few days and it stunk in the garage! So I cut them off, no big deal. However, doing so revealed a rough, unfinished weld at the junction of the hilt and blade - they didn't even try to grind and smooth it. However, they are fantastically sharp and seem to be very long lasting now that they are no longer smelly.

I'm not sure yet

In general, the scissors are much larger than I thought. They feel super firm, which is good. It's a matter of smell, the company says you can remove the rubber pads covering the grips, which I did. The inside of these handles are covered in slimy black grease (hence the smell). So I removed the handles and tried to wipe the grease off. It didn't come out all the way, and under the handles the metal looks (and still smells) really bad and stained. So the scissors themselves are durable and easy

Pros
  • Art supplies
Cons
  • Very expensive

The most amazing thing about this pair is how comfortable they are in your hand. It LOOKS primitive and uncomfortable, but that's not all. I have small hands, but I've found my fingers to wrap around the handles very comfortably, and the simplest rubber(?) covered handles provide good cushion. Also, they are unusually sharp - much sharper than most household scissors - we have several branded pairs (even the one that came with our global set - lovely pair of knives!) that don't match at all. We
