The doctor said I need it, so I drink one of the flavors every day. Not what I would consider enjoyable, but bearable. Protein and other nutrients I need are important. Caramel is my favorite flavor I've tried. The price is better than what I can find in local protein drink stores with 30g of protein.

With 30 grams of protein this product is perfect for my diabetic husband who needs to watch his carb intake. He has lost a lot of weight (6ft tall and 135lbs!) due to other health issues and is in dire need of a weight gain! It's easy to have a smoothie on top of your regular meal without feeling like you need to fill up!

Product is great until you read the ingredients. Carrageenan or Polygynan is not safe to eat or drink. Animal studies show that it causes tumors and ulcers in the intestines and can even cause colon cancer. Acesulfame potassium contains the carcinogen methylene chloride. Long-term exposure to methylene chloride can cause headaches, depression, nausea, confusion, liver and kidney effects, vision problems, and cancer in humans.
