Do not buy them for arm, hand and finger support

Update: They no longer work, the straps aren't sticking and now they keep falling off. They are perfect for my daughter. She is 3 years old and has Rett Syndrome which prevents her from putting her hands in her mouth. They leave no traces on the hand and little witches I really like

Great for braces, splints and supports

This is really good for helping your kids stop thumb sucking. My daughter is 4 years old and I struggled with this. And that has worked best so far. There are a few falls, but not big ones. She wakes up a little uncomfortable with her hand. So she changed her finger. So I guess I'll have to order another one.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Didn't work for us But still a good product

So my 5 year old sucks his thumb. I read reviews about it and thought "why not!" We tried it and she went crazy! Beat teachers and the like! We thought it might not be the right time to break the habit of using her thumb so we removed it, but it definitely keeps her thumb out of her mouth. We'll just have to come back to that option another time.

To help them you have to be ready... then it's awesome

My son hated it... but it helped him. When we started this journey of stopping thumb sucking, it wasn't fully invested. This product did not help him, then he just took it off. After he went to the dentist and he "helped" me figure out how thumb sucking affected your teeth, he was ready to quit smoking. He would then put it on himself to prevent it when he was watching TV or on his tablet.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great for stopping thumb sucking

My 13 month old sucks his thumb and we're trying to break the habit. I first bought a "kids" size, and while it was discouraging, she was still able to bend her arm enough to insert her thumb for a few minutes. She often bit her thumb to keep it in her mouth. - We went further and traded for "Toddler/Child" and we had more success with him. There is no bend at all. She seems comfortable and it doesn't bother her at all throughout the night.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Expandable

Works Well - Braces, Splints & Supports

Definitely works to keep my son from putting his thumb in his mouth. It doesn't look particularly comfortable, so I only leave it on for about five to 10 minutes throughout the day, which is enough time to take his mind off things other than thumb sucking. It should also not be too tight so that the elbow does not bend. In fact, my son could bend his elbow and put his thumb in his mouth, but holding it in that position is uncomfortable for him to let go of. Again, in my opinion, this isn't…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Available in black only.

Too small and quite inefficient

We were trying to find a solution for our child with trilotrichomania and compulsive hair pulling. She is only 6 years old although she is the size of an 8 year old girl with medium/thin arms. The article says "kids". I'm guessing that would mean it would fit at least 12 year olds with a larger size! Ours barely closes fully and the velcro has lost most of its hold after a few uses because our child could very easily try to bend his arm a few times and it would come loose or slip off and become

Pros
  • Alright!
