Works well, easy to install once you figure it out (insert a flathead screwdriver between the gap in the clip and pull out). Two months of intensive use have passed (more than 20 opening and closing operations per day, I transport a lot of cargo)

They have been on my 93 Cherokee for less than a year with minimal use. Shot in full! Not even a gradual failure. Works one day, nothing the next. It looks like it happened during our first heat wave here in the Mojave Desert. Have a nice summer and winter everyone. Now about six inches remains open. I will order new ones.

Although this option has not been reviewed I decided to give it a try to replace the linkage brackets on our '94 Cherokee Sport. The longest and most difficult part of the replacement process was removing the old strut clips. They snap right into place and work great - it would have been nice if there were instructions, but it turned out to be quick and easy.

The product itself is probably good, but the information on Revain seems wrong. The "Check Fit" product page and model listing under "Application" clearly states that these racks fit both the 1991 Jeep Cherokee 4-Door SUV and the Wagoneer. They just don't fit. The car service confirmed the discrepancy, but the return took too long.

This item has an easy to install latch. The spring clips held up well for 15 months when the struts began to fall off when the sunroof was closed. Just not a good design. I went to NAPPA and bought their version which was more expensive but had the same holder design as the OEM which didn't fall off. It just so happens that they're "easy enough" to install too. Each only takes a minute.

They look and feel like tailgate bars, but they don't compress at all. They appear to be carved from a single stick. Before I install the spacers, I check them out, be it the hood, hangers, tailgate, etc. They can't be compressed by any reasonable safe force I could generate without a remote control and blast shield. Absolutely useless. I could just stick a 2x4 in the back door if I just want to keep it open and then at least it would be easier to get out of the way.

**5 MONTH UPDATE:** Don't waste your money on this. They worked fantastic for the first month or two, but here I am five months later and now they are completely useless. I used to be able to push the button and the sunroof would open by itself, now when I push the button the struts only raise the sunroof about 6 inches.
