Wrong resistance range

Looks well made but doesn't match my Mercruiser gauge at all, poor reading. None of these are very accurate, and I understand that they cannot guarantee an exact resistance to pressure ratio, but they do need to state the resistance range they were built for. 30-250 ohms, 100-500 ohms or where they need to be scaled for 0-60 psi, 0-80 psi. We can test our gauges to determine an approximate range, but we cannot tell what range of resistance we are buying.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Only available in white

The pressure reads 60-65psi at idle but the installer factory dispatcher made the gauge Reading 30 isn't easy, it's at the back of the block, and it's all done in the curtain, so I won't be doing that any time soon. This product "Made in China" is useless, it was a waste of money and time to replace it. NOT HAPPY with it! DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT READINGS FROM THIS PLANET AND OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • I won't tell

Oil Pressure Sensor

I just replaced one sensor from two engines and voila! I had 60psi on the right and left motors. The oil pressure on the port side has increased from 40 to 60 on the old gearbox. I removed the Fram filter and the previous owner installed low grade auto oil and replaced it with a high quality marine grade synthetic and marine grade oil filter. And that's the thing! What Happens to Oil Pressure I have found on many blogs that car engine filters/oil and marine filters/oil are not the same…

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Nice replacement Indmar 350

Just bought a used 2001 Malibu with 350 Indmar (0-80psi) and will do right. The old pressure gauge showed dangerously low pressure (but no engine alarm), so I checked it with a pressure gauge that read 45psi. I went to the local port to get a replacement and installed a Sierra pressure gauge which then read an unusually high pressure (80psi) even after it warmed up. Marine Bakes was ordered for the sensor so I gave that one a try. Much better results - listed in the 55psi range which is still a

Wrong resistance range

Everything seems put together well but completely wrong range for my Mercruiser gauge setting, bad gauge. • Gears and parts
