Old but good! for anti-theft

Love it! I needed it and didn't want to wire it myself so I took it to a local mechanic and he did it in 5 minutes.

Great price for interior

Works great but had to go to original remote installer for coding. They stealthily remove the reset button to code themselves. Happy to have remote start, lock and trunk release this winter.

Great replacement for a broken case

It was perfect! My case broke so I just transferred the "inside" to a new case. Works great and I didn't have to reprogram! I saved the new "guts" for another day.

I only have one key with a remote control and the remote control is broken! I figured I'd have to go to the dealer or car alarm store to get a new remote and program it - I wasn't expecting the price. I found this remote control and decided to try it. The instructions didn't work - I had to look up how to program on the internet. But after finding directions online I was able to program it and work with my car. Great offer!

Easy to program, easy to destroy

Unlike others I've ordered, this unit comes with detailed instructions on features and programming. I love them as they have a much longer range (150ft) than the OEM remotes (30ft). The weak point lies in the attachment, since the plastic has a small cross-section and easily breaks when the keys are dropped. The remedy for this is to leave the spiral ring that comes with the key fob in place to relieve tension.

Replace the key fob internals with the old programmed key fob, otherwise simply install a new system.

I didn't have to bring it to the store 3 hours in advance to program because no one could find the box needed to set it up. I took the "guts" out of the old one and put them in the new case. Problem solved. However, they would be useless if I really needed a replacement. If you can't, my advice is to just install a new system unless you have a reputable dealer in your town. 3 hours each way for me, so it will be cheaper to buy a new system in the future.
