Primal is the best dehydrated raw food for my pet!

I don't feed my dog anything else! I mix it with some high quality canned food! I believe if you have a pet, they deserve the best food we can get. If I can't afford the best then I shouldn't have a pet! Feeding dehydrated raw materials is the best way of nutrition!

  • Satisfied so far

Excellent healthy food. my dog loves it

One of the finest dishes. I wish I could afford to feed my dog *just* this, but at least I know I'm helping him by adding Primal and other freeze-dried raw foods. I've tried putting him on a real muscle diet (I've done it with other dogs) but he just won't take it so that's the next best thing.

Picky Eater! suitable for dehydrated and freeze dried foods

My Aussie is very picky about her food and I have tried many dog foods to get her to eat. She loves Primal Freeze Dryed! Yes it's expensive but I use regular food and crumble some nuggets on top and then rehydrate with beef or chicken broth and some water. She will swallow it! Just make sure your dog has enough water.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Minor issues

Expensive but great variety of flavors

I have two golden retrievers. Although Primal Nuggets are expensive, I usually mix them with some lean meat (chicken, turkey, etc.). They have a wide variety including rabbit, sardines, lamb, goose and others. My dogs don't eat many of these, I don't know why, but they only eat chicken, pork and beef.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Nothing here

Best Period Dog Food

We have been feeding our dog this food exclusively for over two years. I have never seen a dog jump out the door for joy every time they are fed this food. She has never done this with the traditional dry food she has eaten in the past. We also add broccoli and other veggies and she loves it. She is 8 years old and still acts like a puppy. This feed is of excellent quality and pure ingredients and we will not feed it anything else.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Available in black only

Too long to cook

I discovered freeze-dried varieties before frozen ones. This is one of the few dog foods my dog can eat without vomiting. I originally bought this food for my dog as he has no teeth and a sensitive stomach. His body can't handle poultry or beef, so I bought lamb. This is a pain because I have to use a food processor to grind it into a paste. My local pet food store recommended the same brand but frozen nuggets, and I haven't looked back since (and it's $10 cheaper).

Time saving tip for dehydrated and freeze dried foods

My dogs love this food and I love that I can add more water to keep them hydrated. Take out the recommended number of nuggets, e.g. B. 1 nugget per feeding, crushing them in a bowl each time. which can be difficult. I measured the weight of the nugget which is 0.28 ounces which is a little less than 1/4 cup (shredded) so now I can just use a scoop and scoop it up like regular dog food and then add water ahead but saves now time for each feeding :)

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Great food, wish it didn't sell out so quickly for the price

My old man loves this food and is dancing to get food now. It's not difficult to measure. I've found it easier to break the chicken into smaller pieces so it absorbs the water. The beef was much heavier. It's a little pricey for a dog food, but I was keen to switch my dog to clean food to help with some of the ailments I was treating with other remedies at the same time. Lasted 2 weeks, fed 2 bricks 2 times a day. I started looking for a more economical way of feeding as soon as I ate 3 or 4…

Prima dog food is great!

I converted! This food is fantastic, my very picky dog loves it and is now dancing to his dinner! I've tried different flavors of Primal and as others have mentioned, lamb nuggets and rabbit nuggets are much more difficult to grind up for rehydration. A simple solution to this problem is to put the dry nuggets in a plastic bag and crush them with a can. A few taps with the rim of the can to break it up, then roll the can into pieces so they really crumble - done! The crumbled pieces are easy to
