I have mixed feelings about this mug. Good: - Closes tightly and does not leak. - I like that the lid can be screwed down so that it can be used with both left and right hands. Bad: - The mug itself is NOT dishwasher safe. I looked at the details when I received it and saw "dishwasher safe" but it was just a lid. - It's too big for my standard size cup holder in my car. - It does not keep the temperature for 3 hours. I didn't read before I just bought this in my hand. Looks like it could survive in the dishwasher, but they must have a reason. But hand washing is a simple matter. You can put the lid on so that the large handle is on the right or left of the drinking hole. Very tight. I like shaking my coffee instead of stirring it and even a touch of leaks. Keeps the coffee really hot for hours. All in all a real winner. Now I go to the cup, I work from home. Not a car mug as it will not fit in a cup holder.

Fantastic product. My teenage daughter wanted to be able to take potable soup to school, not spill it, and keep it warm. We warmed up the soup before school, preheated a mug of warm water and boiled it. At dinner she said it was almost too hot to eat. That was about 4 hours later. She loves it. The cup itself works perfectly - the coffee stays hot longer than in a normal cup. The color is not "turquoise", but rather mint green. Photos look much more aquamarine. I chose this color to match my KitchenAid Aqua accessories. it's not that color at all. I would also appreciate it if it could be washed in the dishwasher. It must be hand washed. This mug kept my coffee hot for a long time but there is NO way the lid can be unscrewed to drink from and still hold the handle. They give instructions on how to unscrew the lid for right or left handed people but it could just be a defect of that particular MANUFACTURING LOT but I would not advise anyone to buy that particular mug.
