I read the reviews and decided to take a chance because the price was right at the time. My order arrived safe and sound and none of my sticks were broken. Each stick was wrapped in sponge foam. Each stick is numbered so I downloaded a color chart from Blick to get the color names. I did the dry tests and then the wet tests in a coloring book with good quality paper. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase. However, I am disappointed that there was no bubble wrap in the packaging and some of my very expensive pastels were damaged. One appears to be defective and really makes me doubt the authenticity of this product. For a hundred bucks you need to be more careful to get the product to me safe and sound. I love (and use) this product. Solid pastels offer options that soft pastels don't, so mixing gives you the best of both worlds. 96 is the full range of Prismacolor colors and for work mixing soft and hard pastels this should be sufficient. Over 20 of the 96 pastels arrived broken. The pastel powder had leaked out between the box and the packaging, leaving the box stained with pastel powder.
