Pro Art PRO 3021 Charcoal Package Review

I was very pleased with the texture and softness! Ideal for powder shaving for use with the dry brush technique. Very little waste or clumps! Retained brightness on pastel paper when layered with white charcoal and resisted smearing very well!

Used these for chalk drawing driveways - definitely a harder material with less smooth lines than standard chalk and a lot messier but the pigment is great for drawing cartoon outlines and will hold a piece much longer than normal chalk even with a heavy hand. Definitely happy with my purchase!

Bought for chalk pastel projects I did with the kids. I really liked the quality of the chalk and the choice of colors. The photo doesn't quite capture the pastels and they are more vibrant which is perfect for this project. The kids loved it and so did the parents. I look forward to more projects with them.

I bought these to update my monthly calendar which I hang in the hall. I used chalk markers and I'm VERY glad someone recommended them to me! First, the colors are a lot lighter and I have a lot more color options! I find the chalk stays in place well but is much easier to wipe off when needed. I will definitely buy these crayons again.

I use them to repaint dolls and find them very pigmented. I like the color scheme, but there are some really weird color settings. A lot of the colors I wanted aren't included, like the warm chestnut/tan which is pretty plain, but there are some ugly browns with a green cast. Orange is also successful or not, blue and pink seem to be acceptable. In general, the quality is satisfied, but I wish the colors were a little better.

I recently ordered this item and it arrived today. It was a great price for 36 but that's how I got the pastels which I'm putting in my son's Easter basket tonight. The box is torn at the top and bottom, some sticks are already broken, others have a thin layer of styrofoam on them so I can't see them until I open the plastic wrap. I need to find a way to seal the inside of the box so my son doesn't wonder why the Easter Bunny brings damaged items. This is a gift and unacceptable. Haven't used…
