When I tried this product, I was blown away by the enhanced sound quality of my home theater. Came with a defect - it would have turned on, but the hum was colossal and my right channel was way louder than the left. Also, the ground screw shaft has been removed from inside the unit. Very disappointed and back to Revain. It was hooked up to a Pro-ject Xpression Carbon table with a Hana MC Shibata pickup. Instead I bought a Musical Surroundings Phonomena II+ preamp and am very happy with it.

I've been using this phono preamp for about 3 years (the last 2 years with an rs phono power supply) and I really like it. The mids are smooth and smooth, while the highs are smooth and grain-free. The bass has good weight and is well defined. I have tried several other phono stages from Musical Surroundings, Arcam and Cambridge - the rs phono stage was the best.
