incredibly quiet turntable. The mass of the turntable is high enough to avoid feedback from the speaker. The tone looks ordinary but looks are deceiving, the tonearm works great and is better than the 10x more expensive tonearm. I highly recommend this player. I use a Soundsmith DMS cassette in this turntable and its signal to noise ratio is superior to the best from a vinyl cutter.

I received a damaged player upon arrival. The needle had snapped off and the tonearm was twisted. As far as I could tell, the inner foam of the packaging was compromised. Either that, or it was an open box that was put back in the box the wrong way. It looked very sexy, too bad I never got to hear it. I sent it back and instead decided to spend a little more and get a new Rega Planar 2. Hopefully the build quality is better than the RPM 1.

Nice turntable. I like the minimalistic approach here, love the combination of Sumiko Pearl tonearm and cartridge. Like all turntables they have their pros and cons but for the asking price I am very happy with my purchase and would heartily recommend this one. In operation it is relatively quiet.
