I think for any kind of chalk paint you're going to need these round brushes because they get into nooks and crannies and less streaks, which I don't understand. Because of this, they charge ridiculous amounts for the brushes, but whatever it was, I bought this one because I needed it and it wasn't too expensive. But still, like many other brushes, the hair falls out when painting, I hate it! I've noticed that you have less of this problem when the brushes are acrylic.

Good - easy to handle, doesn't drip, holds a decent amount of paint, fairly easy to clean, easily gets into hard-to-reach corners/crevices Poor - it never feels badly clean, the bristles fall out and break off. Ugly - when it gets wet (with water or paint) it smells heavenly. Worse than a wet dog. Due to the smell I'm not sure what or where the bristles are coming from which has made me stop using them.

I love this brush! I used it to paint a bookshelf with HEirloom Traditions Paint when I didn't want to wait for my order. Lays evenly, lays down a nice, even coat of color with minimal lift. First I washed and dried it to get rid of any loose bristles, but there weren't many of them. This is the tool I am most likely to buy when repairing furniture.

I've been chalking furniture with foam and regular brushes for years. I ordered this in the hope that using this brush would minimize the appearance of streaks and make them more even. Couldn't be more excited to see the results! life changing. If you're on the fence, buy it! You will not be disappointed! I also used it to paint and wax another piece of furniture, plus the price is reasonable.
