Great product, holds my camera like a champ!

Great product! I needed something to mount my camera to a ceiling system and this works great with the super clamp. All handles rotate easily and hold well. I would definitely recommend this product!

Pros
  • Trial year
Cons
  • Odds set

Decent ball head on tripod heads

I bought this ball head to replace the one I had previously bought due to the weight it has to support. It's still not what it should be. I like the design. But it just doesn't have the strength I think it should have as advertised. There is also a good portion of "give". That's why I don't trust him with my $1,000 lens that weighs 4 1/2 pounds.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • boring packaging

My Canon RP doubles as a webcam and for quick family photos. Removing the camera from the Ulanzi tabletop camera tripod was quite difficult, especially with the main ball mount that came with the mount. Other than that it's just a quick release and it's a lot easier now, just grab it and go. I haven't adjusted the ball's position much, but so far it's been pretty stable and holds position much better than the ball mount that was part of the original arm.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great if you don't shoot portraits

The surface area of the mount that connects to the camera is smaller than most mounts. So when I rotate the camera to take a portrait, the connection is not strong enough to prevent the camera from rotating down due to the weight of the lens (35mm). No matter how tight I tighten this connection, the camera slowly rotates towards the ground. This sucks because I bought 3 of these to replace all the ball head joints for different uses. I love being able to quickly move my camera or light from aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Panoramic inverted ball multifunction head. Aluminum alloy construction, precision CNC technology.
Cons
  • Can't remember

Compact and light ball head with practical quick release.

I bought this to replace the ball head that came with the 62" Mactrem tripod. This head is about the same weight as the previous one but features a clever quick release mechanism unlike the original which had the ubiquitous Arca mount. I've never liked the Arca style mounts because they require as much effort and time as simply screwing the camera directly onto the ball head. This head rotates very smoothly, unlike the original, and the ball moves smoothly in the socket, unlike the originalโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The inverted ball head has a limit screw to prevent the camera from falling, and the L-shaped positioning bezel prevents the camera from rotating, everything is so careful.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Well made, durable and safe.

I'm impressed that the entire unit is made from lightweight and strong aircraft grade aluminum. The plate feels solid in my hand and the ball head snaps securely into place. The base can be rotated 360 degrees and also locks into place. They even included a cold shoe mount on the side. The base measures approximately 1 1/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches. I bought three more bases for all my gear and I am very happy with how easy and simple it is to control the cameras between the slider, handheldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New design: Reversed ball head provides stronger locking force and higher stability.
Cons
  • Very expensive
